addendum

It appears that the "obnoxious, but not flu" virus is, infact the H1N1 flu virus. Happy, happy.

From what I gather she was getting better, judging from your last post?

Happy Holidays!

My daughter is better; it is DH, aka my husband who has been down for the count the last couple of days...

Just came back from the doctor's office with a diagnosis of pneumonia for both me and my six year old daughter. Suspected the flu but we've all been vaccinated at this end. Doesn't make the holidays any cheerier. Wishing health and happiness and an infinite amount of strength to you and yours for a healthy recovery. Sending extra, extra your way..hopefully you will miss the worst of it. (mom's are never supposed to get sick,,,are they?)

Ok. Let's wish for your husband to get better as well then.

Again, a happy holidays.

@ Susanne. Don't you know the mom rules? :)
Mothers aren't allowed to get sick, especially during holidays. At this point, I am the only one suseptible to the H1N1 virus, one daughter has had it (mildly, compared to her father) and the other one got the inoculation while on campus. So I am trying to play nursemaid while staying out of the way of the contagion.

I hope you and your family feel better soon. (I've never had pneumonia, but I've nursed family members through it-it looks to be pretty miserable, too).

I'd heard they stop testing for it in July. How did they find out it was H1N1?

I hope you guys are feeling better!
It sucks to be sick over the holiday. :(
